PADI Underwater Photographer Specialty
The PADI Underwater Photographer Specialty course can introduce you to under water photography or improve your existing photography skills.  The Underwater Photographer Specialty course combines classroom work with two open water dives.  You'll learn the basics of underwater photography including:

  • Composition

  • Camera selection

  • Camera handling techniques

  • Buoyancy control for photography

  • Film selection

  • Pre and post dive camera care

  • Underwater photography dive planning

 PADI Underwater Photographer Specialty manual included and yours to keep - - How far will you take this diving thing? It's up to you. With PADI Specialty Diver Programs you can chart your course for a colorful collection of awesome dives. Sure, your PADI certification opens up the oceans and lakes to you, but the PADI Specialty Dives take the underwater adventure to depths that will stir your soul. Achieving PADI Specialty ratings can take anywhere from as little as one day to a full weekend -but this is all hands-on, so you'll be diving right from the start.
Prerequisite: PADI Jr. Open Water Diver (or qualifying cert. from another organization) and 10 yrs old.

What do I need to do before class?:
Read the PADI Underwater Photographer Specialty manual and complete the knowledge reviews. You also need to complete a PADI Student Record File (which includes a Medical Statement). If you answer yes to any of the medical history questions, we must require a signed physicians approval before you participate. You can download and review the PADI Medical Statement here. Please print a copy to take to your physician for their approval and signature if required.
Underwater Photographer Schedule: Class sessions Thurs. evenings 7-10pm; Dives and briefing / planning, Sat. and Sun. at Square Lake near Stillwater, Minnesota.
