| The PADI Project Aware Coral
Reef Conservation Specialty was developed for divers, snorkelers and water enthusiasts. The program
uses multimedia presentations and the AWARE "Our World Our Water" manual to
examine the importance of coral reefs, their basic biology and ecology, problems leading
to their destruction and actions to address conservation such as Ecotourism.

The status of the world's coral reefs

How participants can help, including
responsible diving and snorkeling practices

| Prerequisite:
Interest in the aquatic world. This course is open to divers, snorkelers, and anyone who would like to learn more about
protecting the marine environment. For PADI Project Aware Coral Reef Conservation
Specialty certification, you must be a certified diver. |
