DPV’s offer a thrilling way to see a
lot of underwater territory in a brief amount of time. They scoot you
through the water without kicking. Want to visit that offshore reef from
the beach? A DPV may be the way to go. This course is designed to
introduce divers to the skills and excitement of using diver
propulsion vehicles. Both academic and hands-on, in water sessions are
used to familiarize you with the planning and procedures associated with using a
DPV. |

considerations, care, and maintenance.

Proper
procedures for: determining a turnaround point, vehicle failure, runaway
motor, descents and ascents and avoiding propeller entanglements.

Techniques
to avoid harming fragile aquatic life.

of 12 and Certified Diver |

PADI DPV Diver manual included and yours to keep.

PADI DPV Specialty manual, use of DPV, certification processing, and air fills. |
Scuba equipment is not
included, but may be rented at HALF PRICE. |
| PADI DPV
specialty schedule: Wednesday evenings from 6:00-9:30pm. Class
session and two certification dives are held at Golden Acres on Square Lake near Stillwater, Minnesota. |
| What do I need to do before
class?: |
| You need to complete a PADI Student Record
File (which includes a Medical Statement). Certain existing medical conditions will
require a signed physicians approval before your dives. You can download and
review the PADI Medical Statement here. If
you answer yes to any of the medical history questions, please print a copy to take to
your physician for their approval and signature. |
