What is Emergency First Response (EFR)?

The Emergency First Response ( EFR ) program is composed of two core modules that are combined  to provide instruction in CPR and First Aid:

While this course is not diving specific, it meets PADI requirements for the PADI Rescue Diver and Divemaster certifications.

Who should take an Emergency First Response Course?

This course is designed for anyone who wants to learn or update CPR and First Aid skills.  During the Emergency First Response program you will also receive training for Automated External Defibrillators (AED).  While this course is not diving specific, it meets PADI requirements for the PADI Rescue Diver and Divemaster certifications.  We also offer EFR Instructor classes.

Emergency First Response Primary Care and Secondary Care Participant manual: This manual encompasses the Primary Care (CPR), Secondary Care (first aid) course. It includes an Independent Study Section, a Skills Workbook, and an Emergency Reference Manual. During the Emergency First Response program you will also receive training for Automated External Defibrillators (AED). While this course is not diving specific, it meets PADI requirements for the PADI Rescue Diver and Divemaster certifications.EFR eLearning is included.

What do I need to do before class?:

You need to complete the online knowledge-based portion of the Emergency First Response course (eLearning) and complete knowledge reviews at the end of the Primary and Secondary Care sections.
