Extended Range |
| Certain
areas of the world provide spectacular dives at depths deeper than 39m/130
feet, but you will not have access (or very limited access) to helium. The
TDI Extended Range course teaches you the proper techniques for utilizing
compressed air as a breathing gas and with a maximum depth of 55m/180 feet
you won’t have to miss those dives. |

| *Extended Range Diving carries
with it a large investment in previous training. Students must also realize that a
significant investment in the proper equipment is necessary to undertake this type of
diving. Much of this equipment will most likely have been acquired meeting the
standards of the prerequisite courses. Course specific requirements can be found on
the TDI Standards and Procedures Page
and through discussion with the course instructor. Due to our local conditions and
the dives being conducted, students should have drysuits and be
practiced in their use before application to the course. |
