| A trainer
kite is a great way to start learning how to rig a kite, read the wind,
and fly safely. Training kites are smaller versions of their
high-powered cousins, with sizes generally ranges from 1.0 to 3.0
meters. Don't be fooled though, a trainer kite can produce a fair
amount of power in the right conditions. Theses kites are also great
for practicing your kite flying skills.
Kiteboarding has grown rapidly in Minnesota, across the United States, and around the world. Scuba Center, just two blocks south of Lake Harriet in south Minneapolis, is the place to find kites & kiteboarding equipment in Minnesota. Kites can let you experience a wind powered adventure on the snow with skis or a snowboard. We've got kites and kiteboards by the best in the sport. |

| While these are excellent reference materials, in no way should this information be considered a replacement for proper kiteboarding training or experience. This sport utilizes kites that can be extremely powerful. Safety equipment (such as helmets, flotation jackets, and quick releases to name just a few) should be used whenever appropriate to the application. A responsible attitude and training* or experience with a smaller trainer kite are essential for a safe entry into this sport. Always read owners manuals! The participant as well as onlookers will have a much safer and more enjoyable experience. | ||||||
