Scott Hawaii was founded in 1932,
manufacturing plantation boots for the sugar and pineapple workers in
Hawaii. Due to a lack of materials during World War II, they switched
production from plantation boots to sandals and slippers, which also
served the large number of Navy personnel passing through Pearl Harbor.
Since then, they have focused on providing comfortable footwear for the
growing local market, as well as mainland customers who embrace the casual
island lifestyle. |
