Dive Rite's line of harnesses allow you to custom fit stainless steel or aluminum backplates to fit your various diving needs. Harnesses are designed with waist, shoulder D-rings, and a quick release chest strap and can have any of Dive Rite's BC accessories or cutting devices affixed to them.

Backplates are available in aluminum or polished stainless steel. While stainless steel backplates are among the most popular, some divers who require a small amount of weight to be added to their configuration prefer an aluminum backplate. Saltwater divers often prefer stainless backplates for their resistance to corrosion and the fact that they are several pounds more negatively buoyant, which helps offset the additional buoyancy of saltwater.

Dive Rite introduces an innovative harness designed specifically for hard back plates--the TransPlate harness. The TransPlate harness utilizes many features and benefits of the TransPac harness for divers who demand comfort and the perfect fit when using a stainless steel or aluminum back plate. The harness shoulders and waist belt quickly install on any hard back plate. The unit comes complete with shoulder and waist d-rings.

Dive Rite Harnesses
Harness Styles: Dive Rite Back Plate webbing (backplate not included) is available in Standard and Deluxe styles. Both styles include shoulder and waist D-rings (shoulder D-rings are bent at a slight angle for better access), and quick-release waist band buckle. Standard webbing harness is made from a single piece of continuous webbing. Deluxe harness incorporates a built-in cross-chest strap, plus shoulder-strap pivot rings that further increase comfort.

Dive Rite Back Plates
Saltwater divers often prefer Stainless Steel back plates for resistance to corrosion and the fact they are several pounds more negative than other back plates which helps offset additional buoyancy of salt water. Stainless Steel (5 lb.) and Aluminum (1.5 lb.) Backplates include tank cam band slots, doubles mounting slot, mounting slot for 1” or 2” crotch strap, perimeter mounting holes, and a highly polished finish. Perfect for the diver who loves simplicity with a wide range of accessory mounting options. The doubles mounting slot allows easy assembly onto different double tank configurations without bolt line up concerns.
