Turks and Caicos Islands

Sibonné Beach Hotel | Turks and CaicosThe Turks and Caicos Islands are an old Scuba Center favorite. The main island, Providenciales, (Provo) is where most of the activity takes place. For divers, sites such as West Caicos, North Wall and the Aquarium offers consistently beautiful reefs and dramatic walls. Our resort is situated on the most beautiful stretch of beach on Grace Bay. Sibonnne is a relatively small property with a wonderful beachfront bar and restaurant for guests to enjoy. We are traveling in early spring - usually an excellent time to travel to these beautiful islands on the edge of the Atlantic.

Sibonné Beach Hotel | Grace Bay Turks and CaicosFrom the moment you arrive at Sibonné Beach Hotel, you’ll understand why Caribbean Travel & Life magazine calls Grace Bay Beach one of the ‘Best Beaches in the Caribbean’. Not only this, but Grace Bay & the Turks & Caicos are still one of the best ‘undiscovered destinations’ in the Caribbean.

Sibonné was the first hotel built on Grace Bay Beach – so it enjoys the best position on the most famous beach in the Caribbean. Many of their guests have returned time and again since the hotel was built as ‘Le Deck’.

Renovated and renamed Sibonné Beach Hotel – they are the most intimate hotel on Grace Bay Beach (With only 28 rooms). Add to this – the glorious view from their restaurant – Bay Bistro – where you look directly at the beach and the aqua-blue waters of Grace Bay. Bay Bistro is one of the few restaurants on Grace Bay that offers fine dining with a beach front location and full ocean view from their dining room.

Before you even see the menu – you’ll be amazed by the view from the restaurant at Sibonné Beach Hotel. Like the hotel itself, Bay Bistro is closer to the beach than any other restaurant on Grace Bay. Even at the very expensive resorts, you won’t find a better view to enhance your dining experience; the view is just a preview of the delicious meal to follow!

Turtles: Always a crowd pleaser, these pre-historic creatures, although endangered in many areas, are seen quite commonly on our dives. The very pretty Hawksbill Turtles are most commonly sighted. A large area of the coast of Provo comprises the Princess Alexandra National Park within which there is no commercial or sport fishing allowed. As a result, divers benefit from a profusion of marine life at the Turks and Caicos dive sites, most of which remain undisturbed by visiting divers. Even outside the boundaries of the Princess Alexandra National Park, the dive operators all happily support a policy of coral reef preservation and conservation.

All Turks and Caicos scuba diving is wall diving so navigation is simple along the edge of the wall. You swim to the edge, check the current (usually negligible) and turn left or right until ˝ your tank or bottom time. You turn around and come back shallower. The Dive Provo staff help you find the boat by placing a big blow up sausage at the edge of the wall where the turn off back to the boat is. Most moorings are fairly close to the edge of the wall so it is likely you will be able to look up and see the boat from here. If not just swim in from the marker over the plateau and you will soon see the boat.

Dive Provo | Turks and CaicosThe professional Dive Provo staff is dedicated to providing guests with convenient and trouble-free diving. From pick up at our hotel to dropping you off at the end of the day the staff will do their utmost to make sure you have a good time. Dive Provo is located in the Ports of Call Shopping Plaza on Grace Bay Road (About a 5 to 10-minute van ride away from Sibonné Beach Hotel). Painted a bright tropical green – the building is hard to miss!

No lugging heavy gear! The staff will set up your gear for your dive and break it down and rinse it at the end of the day. Just pack your bag, leave it on the dive boats and it will be ready for your next dive.
